Senior Formulation Scientist
Bionema Group is a leading UK innovator in biological crop protection and plant health solutions. We are progressing with two major UK-funded R&D initiatives: the world’s first systemic biological molluscicide made from loline alkaloids derived from Epichloë-infected grass, and BiofilmTech, a revolutionary biofilm-based biofertilizer platform designed to enhance soil colonisation and nutrient efficiency. We are seeking a highly skilled Formulation Scientist to independently manage Bionema’s biological formulation laboratory and lead these innovative programmes. This is not an entry-level position—you will serve as the senior formulation expert within our R&D team.
Senior Industrial Microbiologist
We are looking for a Senior Industrial Microbiologist to join our R&D team. In this role, you will handle the production, formulation, and application of microbial products, working across various bio-based technologies, including entomopathogenic fungi, nematodes, beneficial bacteria, biofertilizer consortia, and biostimulants. You will manage laboratory and pilot-scale operations, optimise production processes, and support field validation efforts. This key, hands-on position reports directly to the CTO or Head of Innovation Lead and involves close cooperation with the Head of Formulation and Regulatory Affairs.
Business Development Manager
As our Business Development Manager, you will spearhead initiatives that engage and collaborate with key business partners across multiple regions, including the UK, Europe, North America, Canada, LATAM, and the Middle East. Your mission will be to drive the growth of our cutting-edge biocontrol, biostimulants, and biofertilisers range of products and technologies, ensuring we continue to be at the forefront of sustainable food production and feeding the world population.
Technical Biological Sales Manager
Bionema, a leader in the biocontrol, biostimulants, biofertilisers, and biosurfactants sector, is looking for a Technical Biological Sales Manager to join our team in Swansea, Wales. In this pivotal role, you will identify and grow B2B opportunities across agriculture, sports turf, horticulture, and forestry markets. You will help Bionema bring its innovative range of biological solutions to new clients, manage distributor relationships, and play a key role in expanding our market presence in the UK and beyond.
Microbial Biofilm Research Scientist
We seek a highly skilled Microbial Biofilm Research Scientist with expertise in biostimulants, biofertilisers, microbial plant interactions and biological formulations to join our R&D team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to developing and commercialising an industry-first biofilm-focused biofertilizer that will have a tangible impact on agriculture.
