Message In A Bottle

You promised you would never leave but then you walked away
Enough tears to fill an ocean pouring out of me every night and every day
But then a message in a bottle washed up along the shore
I opened it and as I read it, I felt as if I could hear your voice beyond the waves that roar
That sweet, soothing voice that I once knew and adored

You said to meet you by Sweetheart Rock
By boat, by train, by plane, I would do whatever it takes so that we could talk
When I saw your eyes I melted but then remembered you left and I wanted to scream
You let me vent, you let me cry while you just occasionally chuckled which made me steam

When I was finally silent, you waited a minute before you began
Then you told me how you sent that message in a bottle so we could meet at this romantic rock, walk along the beach, and hold hands
“It must be love,” you said, “You traveled across the ocean just to tell me off”
You then sealed our love with a kiss on top of Sweetheart Rock
And with that you pulled me into your firm chest to watch the sun set

Bullying Is Sickening

You’re so insecure, you have to pick on someone half your size, it makes me sick

You get a thrill out of sticking a note on someone’s back saying they want to be kicked

You call them mean names because they aren’t “cool”

But in the end you’re the one that looks like a fool

You can’t even say it straight to their face,

So you decide to write it on their “wall”

Why can’t you see that they have feelings too?

They have parents that love them like yours love you

Can you imagine not wanting to go to school everyday,

Because you know people are going to be pushing you around and picking on you every which way?

Put yourself in that person’s shoes

See what it’s like to have a heart with a bunch of bruises

So, be kind and move on to a better future

Tomorrow is a new day

A day ready for new beginnings…make a difference

You are the only one that’s in your way

No, I do not miss you
But I do miss what I had with you
No, I do not want you back
But I do want you to know I’ll always love you and you better love me back

No, I do not want to go back to prom and dance with you under the stars
But I do want you to remember all those times we sat and made out in our cars
No, I do not like how things had to end
But I know you’ll always be my confidant and friend

No, I do not have the same feelings for you that I once did
But when I see you with another girl, I’ll want her to be rid
No, I don’t want to go see a movie and hold your hand
But in a time of need, my hand will always be out for you to hold

No, I do not like you
But I do love you
No, I do not want to wake up to you every morning
But I do hope you think of me when you wake up every morning

No, I do not look at old pictures and wish I had a time machine to go back to the past
But sometimes I look up at the moon and imagine you looking at the same one
No, I do not need you around
But I do want you around

No, I will not write a status about how I feel so alone
But I will always remember how you made me feel like a princess on a throne
No, I will never “Tweet” how you were my first love
But, I will forever hold in my heart the feeling of being in love and know what we had was real

No, I do not want to grow old with you
But when we both are old, I want to look back together and laugh at the things we did
No, I don’t cry myself to sleep wondering if you are thinking of me
But I do go to sleep every night knowing everything happens for a reason and everything that is meant to be will be

No, I can’t recall the exact date that you had asked me out for the first time
But I can remember what we did, what you wore, and that we sat and talked for the longest time
No, I do not remember what you got me for my birthday that one year
But I do remember how you always made me feel and how you freed me of all my fears

No, I do not want to cuddle and pretend as if this moment will last forever
But I will always wish you luck on all of your endeavors
No, I do not want you to go
But I do not want you to stay

You are the color to my rainbow
The sunshine to my day
