Mothers know best because they’ve been around longer than you
Mothers know best because they are the only ones that care about you
Mothers know best because they don’t want to see you get hurt
Mothers know best because they are always alert

Mothers know best because they have part of your DNA
Mothers know best because they always know what to say
Mothers know best no matter if it is night or day
Mother’s know best, so always obey

Mothers know best when you’re heartbroken in tears
Mothers know best when you don’t know in which direction to steer
Mothers know best when you don’t know where to begin
Mothers know best like a sister knows her twin

So,
Listen when your mother ask you to clean your room
Listen to your mother because she carried you for nine months in her womb
Listen to your mother even if you don’t think she is right
Listen to your mother and your future will be bright
Mothers know best, that is something that will always be true
Mothers know best because  they love you ❤

Message In A Bottle

You promised you would never leave but then you walked away
Enough tears to fill an ocean pouring out of me every night and every day
But then a message in a bottle washed up along the shore
I opened it and as I read it, I felt as if I could hear your voice beyond the waves that roar
That sweet, soothing voice that I once knew and adored

You said to meet you by Sweetheart Rock
By boat, by train, by plane, I would do whatever it takes so that we could talk
When I saw your eyes I melted but then remembered you left and I wanted to scream
You let me vent, you let me cry while you just occasionally chuckled which made me steam

When I was finally silent, you waited a minute before you began
Then you told me how you sent that message in a bottle so we could meet at this romantic rock, walk along the beach, and hold hands
“It must be love,” you said, “You traveled across the ocean just to tell me off”
You then sealed our love with a kiss on top of Sweetheart Rock
And with that you pulled me into your firm chest to watch the sun set

From birth you are given a group of people that you can always depend on
A group of people that you will always fit into no matter what your differences may be
Mayhem  fills your house at Thanksgiving and Christmas
If your as lucky as I, the mayhem fills your house everyday
Love is unconditional when it comes to your family
You can either take it or leave it, but leaving it would be foolish

&

Friends are the family that you chose for yourself
Ready to catch your tears before they even drop
In any situation, they have your back
Even the most unexpected
No matter what happens though, a REAL friend will learn to expect the unexpected
During  the rough times, a real friend will still by your side
Some won’t, but that’s when you learn who your true friends are
