eBook Collections

BiblioTech offers a core collection of 500 curated books that meet the basic initial needs of theology courses. The books come from the following publishers: Baker, Eerdmans, Fortress, InterVarsity, Langham, Regnum, SBL, and Westminster. Books are categorized by two possible subjects or areas of knowledge to facilitate identifying them for use in courses or for research purposes.

Subscribing institutions can add customized collections to the core collection to meet the needs of their training programs by choosing from the nearly 3,800 books in our catalog. Customized collections will consist of packages of 100 books for which an additional fee will be charged to your subscription.

Additionally, teachers can create small collections of books for their course or research project from collections subscribed to by their institution. For example, you can select ten books on the New Testament (from the basic or custom collection) and assign them to students in a course so they can find them more easily in the app and use them in their studies.

This app version offers literature only in English (with the reader’s translation capability). However, the continuous expansion and development process will seek to add literature produced in other languages,such as Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Sinhalese, etc. The addition of literature in Spanish is expected by 2026.

Journals and other resources

In addition to books, BiblioTech offers free access to theological journals. These journals are primarily published by institutions in the Majority World, aiming to promote, share, and strengthen their intellectual and theological production. The addition of journals will be an ongoing process in the development of the application.

Also, as part of the development of the application as a digital library, there will soon be a feature that will offer access to bibliographic reference platforms for research. From the application, it will be possible to find reference sources and studies on the most diverse subjects produced exclusively in the Majority World.

Search tool

The application allows you to search for books based on the following categories: title, author, subject, field, program, and type of literature (book, dictionary, encyclopedia, etc.). This feature makes it easier to find books based on the specific needs of students and teachers.

AI translation

The application includes an integrated feature that allows users to request translations of parts of the book for reading in their preferred language. The translation is performed on our administrative platform using Google Translate and is available in the application in encrypted form. Copy and paste features are not allowed.

The translation process does not constitute an official translation of the text and should therefore be used only for reading and understanding the content. If the user wishes to use the content for research and citations, they must do so in the original language of the text or make their own free translation, explicitly indicating this.

Important note: InsterVarsity and Langham do not allow the use of this tool to translate their books. Some Baker books have translation impediments in specific languages.

Access to books

There is no limit to the number of users who can borrow a single book. This means that all students in a class or course can have simultaneous access to a book recommended by a teacher.

Books can also be accessed without an internet connection. To do so, the user must first download the books to their device when they have an internet connection. This loan will be valid for two weeks. After this period, the loan can be renewed as many times as desired, always with a two-week limit between loans, and an internet connection is required.
