PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The DIM EV Repair project aims to introduce an accompaniment model of multi-brand workshops specialised in the repair of electric vehicles, with a particular focus on battery verification and repair. The key tool of this model is a specialised equipment to assess the state of health (SOH) of battery packs, previously developed. This device allows workshops to accurately identify defective cells within battery modules and replace only those that really need it, avoiding the waste of entire batteries.
This solution not only reduces operating costs for workshops, but also minimises the environmental impact associated with the disposal of entire batteries. Through this model of flagging, workshops are positioned as benchmarks in the adoption of advanced technologies, adapting to new market demands and contributing to the development of innovative solutions in the repair of electric vehicles.
SOLUTION AND TECHNOLOGIES
The project implements an advanced state-of-health (SOH) verification equipment for electric vehicle batteries, designed to identify and replace defective cells, avoiding the disposal of entire batteries. Integrated into the multi-brand workshop accompaniment model, this equipment, together with specialized training, optimizes repair processes, reducing costs and adapting workshops to the demands of electric mobility.
Contributed innovation
The project combines the implementation of advanced equipment to verify the state of health (SOH) of batteries with the creation of an accompaniment model for specialized multi-brand workshops. This model standardizes repair processes, promotes the adoption of new technologies and trains workshops to accurately diagnose and replace defective cells. This reduces the waste of complete batteries, minimizing costs and environmental impact, while promoting the professionalization of the sector and its adaptation to the demands of electric mobility.
