Conal Oldfield
Executive Director
A graduate of the University of London (UK), he began his career in accounting, before moving to becoming an international Headhunter specializing in senior accounting position. After moving to Canada with his family in 2010, he was for many years the COO of a multinational corporation. Wishing to reduce his travel commitment, he joined the museum in early 2023 as the Executive Director. His commercial approach fits well with the mandate and mission of the museum.

Emma McGugan
Assistant Director
Emma joined the museum in 2024 and brings experience from museums, archives, and cultural institutions in British Columbia and the United Kingdom. She holds a Master of Arts in Museum Cultures with Curation from the University of London, where her research explored museum design, architecture, and the role of curatorial storytelling, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of King’s College in Contemporary Philosophy with a certificate in Art History and Visual Culture. Emma finds working with at the BC Aviation Museum a rewarding opportunity to expand her knowledge while contributing to the preservation, interpretation, and public understanding of British Columbia’s aviation history.

Rosemary Kemp
Collections Manager
Rosemary is a museum professional who has held positions at museums, archives, and cultural organizations in Victoria, Calgary, and Montreal. She holds a Master of Art History from Concordia University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Classics, and a Certificate in Collections Management, both from the University of Victoria. An avid newcomer to the world of aviation, Rosemary has found working with the BCAM collection a wonderfully informative professional challenge

Rebecca Meitz
Gift Shop and Events Manager
Bringing years of experience in retail and museum settings, Rebecca joined the team at the BC Aviation Museum in 2026. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Museum Studies, where she researched the material and social history of Victoria. She hopes to provide a creative perspective to enhance the experience of visitors and connect with the community.
