Every Baselight account comes with a set of limits based on the plan. Here’s what each limit covers and how to keep track of them.
What types of limits are there?
- Storage – The amount of space available for your private dataset tables.
- Query Data Scanned – The total amount of data your queries scan during execution. This accounts for usage across Baselight AI, Baselight Studio and any MCP integration yoy might have.
- Query Execution Time – The total time your queries take to run. This limits also summarizes all query entry points (Baselight AI, Studio or MCP).
- AI Usage – Your allowance for Baselight AI features. Shown as a percentage of your total allowance.
Query Data Scanned, Query Execution Time, and AI Usage all reset at the start of each calendar month. Storage does not reset – it reflects your total private data at any given time.
Checking your usage
There are two ways to see where you stand:
- Quick view – Click your profile icon in the top right corner. The dropdown shows a compact summary of all four limits at a glance.
- Full view – Go to Account Settings → Billing and Usage. Each limit has its own card with a progress bar, a description of what it tracks, and your current usage.
