U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan

Sujata Sharma is the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Baku.  Most recently, she served as the Deputy Director for Caucasus Affairs, and prior to that as Nordic Unit Chief in the Office of Northern Europe, Baltic, and Arctic Security Affairs.  Sujata previously served at U.S. Embassies in Berlin, Islamabad, and Paris, as well as the U.S. Mission to NATO.  In Washington, her previous assignments include Director for Western Europe at the National Security Council, Special Assistant to the Secretary of State, and Staff Assistant to Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.
