What’s the coolest way you’ve celebrated your birthday?
Uhuh I've fallen for one of these memes. When I was little every birthday had a theme, fairies and wizards was one theme where my little six year old self helped my mother make wizard cloaks and fairy wings for everyone to choose from and I remember vividly my younger male cousin punching a girl to take her fairy wings and prancing around the room in them. Still, I would say the coolest birthday party I've ever had is my 18th. My friends were super sneaky and super awesome, and I was super oblivious.
First they gave me a script to memorize. I thought it was just another thing like the videos we'd made before because one of the people in our group was a super awesome script writer and the other wanted to be a film something or other and had been voluntelling us to feature in her films she had been making in preparation for getting into film school and the audition phase thing.
So I dressed for the high end society party in the script, memorized not only my lines but everyone else's because that often was a necessary thing when we did those videos. Went to the one friends place and someone went in the door first before me when everyone jumped up and yelled surprise and one particular person screamed pickle. I gave them all a look and told them to be serious and let's get filming and then there were a few moments of people trying to convince me this wasn't for a film but a set-up for a surprise party for me.
They made dinner, we watched stuff, played around they had a painted banner with red rabbits having sex with one another in various positions on it. They made me a crown with wire and curling ribbons in blues and silver with little rosebuds and I still have it. It was one of my favourite birthdays by far.
My only complaint was having to memorize the script for no reason, especially because I had liked it..... though the girl who wrote it had trouble even remembering what she had wrote for it because she knew at the start it was a throwaway ^_^'
The others mainly just 'oh yeah you read and memorize the scripts before we show up to film!"
