What makes a strong tip?
The best tips clearly describe a specific issue with real-world impact. Facts, documents, and firsthand evidence are far more useful than rumors or speculation. When submitting, keep Austin Current’s coverage areas in mind: growth and development, education, and city and county government.
Examples of strong tips include:
Evidence an elected official may be violating the law; documentation showing a public official or agency misleading the public; data that challenges claims made by city, county, or school district leaders.
