ASCOM Remote is a Windows-based gateway from the ASCOM Initiative that publishes your locally installed ASCOM device drivers over the network using the ASCOM Alpaca (HTTP/JSON) protocol. It allows clients on other computers and operating systems to discover and control equipment such as telescopes, cameras, focusers, filter wheels, rotators, domes, switches, and weather sensors, even though the drivers reside on a single Windows machine.
