It’s a priority for us that expert skills are transferred to locally educated teams providing long term available support for projects.
To date we have created over 192 jobs for people from local communities, who were employed and trained to build complete off-grid power systems supporting local families and businesses including:
Over 120 seasonal jobs were also created, in addition to an increase of women recruited into leadership roles throughout the region.
The first Zambian Mini-grid Pilot went live in 2025, delivering affordable reliable and clean electricity access to at least 40 businesses and up to 250 households.
We are proud to share our first Impact Report, highlighting the difference our work has made in the lives of people and the environment in the countries we are currently operating in across East and Southern Africa.
