This Privacy Policy describes how AppGrid ("we," "us," or "our") collects and uses information when you use the AppGrid application ("the Application").
1. Information We Collect
The Application collects the following information:
- Anonymous usage analytics. We collect data about how you use the Application — such as which features are used, how often the app is opened, and general usage patterns. This is collected via PostHog and is associated with a random anonymous identifier generated on first launch. This identifier is reset if the Application is reinstalled.
- Anonymous trial session identifier. If you start a free trial, an anonymous identifier is derived from your device and associated with your trial session for analytics purposes. This identifier is not linked to any name, email address, or other personal information.
- License activation data. If you purchase a license, your email address and license key are stored on our servers solely for the purpose of validating your license and managing your account. This data is not used for marketing without your explicit consent.
- Device fingerprint. A non-reversible device fingerprint is used to manage license activations (e.g. enforcing per-device limits). It is not used to track you across applications or websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Understand how the Application is used and improve its features
- Validate licenses and manage trial periods
- Prevent abuse of the licensing system
We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services:
- PostHog — analytics platform. Data is processed in accordance with PostHog's Privacy Policy.
- Paddle — payment processor. Purchase data is handled in accordance with Paddle's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
Anonymous analytics data is retained for as long as necessary to provide and improve the Application. License and account data is retained for the lifetime of your license. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
