S'pose I should notify those who care to know that I've already jumped ship over to DW. In fact, I did so a while ago, but seeing as I hardly ever post on personal journals on either site anyway, it's really only there for the sake of having one.

I'll probably set it up eventually soon, though! My name's prisma there if you want to add me. For the most part, this means I've abandoned LJ except in cases where I have to hop onto an old account for whatever reason; I'm still everywhere else I usually would be, though, including devART, Tumblr, and Plurk!

...Also, if anyone is going to Anime Boston or Anime Central this year? REPORT IN RIGHT NOW, DAMMIT.

Otakon in a week, WHOOP!

My cosplay is all done, and 'Drea managed to get hers mostly-done too except for fine details and such, but I... was an idiot and apparently got the wrong colored wig the first time. Hahahaha, yup. We'll probably be wearing the cosplays again at some point (which, for those who know GX, are Asuka and Fubuki from the graduation party, HELL YEAH PRINCESS DRESSES... or, as my dad so eloquently puts it, "the Scarlett O'Hara dress"), likely at Anime Boston next year, so I got the correct wig anyway with expedited shipping and am kind of praying to the postal gods that it makes it here before Thursday. Or at least makes it to Malden before Thursday so I MIGHT be able to go down to the office there and politely beg for it. :C If not, I guess I'll deal with styling it after Otakon.

But if it doesn't make it in time (the tracking says it's in NY right now, last I checked), I'll be tinting the light brown wig I got with some yellow sharpie dye. Which... the sharpies I ordered have not gotten here yet either. And Michael's was in the middle of moving locations when I went, so all their shit was packed up. /pulls hair!!

...Ugh, yeah. THE JOYS OF COSPLAY, GUYS. But regardless of the outcome I'm still hoping for USPS to pull through for me, dammit, COME ON GUYS YOU CAN DO IT, it's gonna be fun. ^O^ There will be lots of people there I can chill with, undoubtedly, and I'm bringing my external drive so we can watch anime in the room!

A-Also... apparently there is talk of bringing wine now, LMFAO. Scream, what do I do, I HAVE NEVER DRANK BEFORE...?! ;w;

But yeah, if anyone who still reads this shit is off to Otakon, I'm staying at the Radisson with a friend! If you wanna chill at some point, I can probably send my cell number your way. It looks like we'll be in Asuka and Fubuki for Friday AND Saturday, so. |D We'll be easy to spot.

So, TL;DR: missed my plane with the power of sheer fucking talent, but made it home with my bag. Happy ending, get!

(Though, if worse came to worse, I would've just had to grab a night at a nearby hotel in whatever city I ended up in and pay it with my shiny new credit card. Which wouldn't have been a problem, but it was nice not to have to spend the extra couple hundred for my own stupidity. Plus, I wouldn't have had my clothes and stuff with me, and... yeah, I'd have had to sleep in my clothes at the time.)

Just so everyone who isn't on my Plurk list is aware: I'll be going to Oakland today for eight days to visit my cousin and hang out with friends and GO TO FANIME until the 30th, and likely will not be back online until the 31st due to getting home late and being wiped out to the max, yo.

I'll probably have internet, in all likelihood, but the matter is being on to use it. I may or may not have time to do tags and check things and whatnot, so fair warning. I've already posted up all the hiatus messages I can think of. SO WITH THAT DONE...

Creepy fucking dreams aside, when I woke up, my dad told me that he got a call from one of his cousins on his mother's side. Apparently one of his other cousins dropped dead while shoveling snow... either this morning or yesterday, don't remember which he said. And he was the same age as my dad, which didn't really make him feel all that great.

...Truth is, it kind of unnerved me, too. I worry for my dad a lot, since it's impossible to tell what his lifespan will be, considering his dad's side has always had heart problems (and his dad and all his aunts/uncles died before age 65, IIRC), and yet his mom's side has incredible longevity in contrast. So... idk, man.

Late post is late.

But I got the following for Christmas, sans the stuff I got for myself to make me feel slightly better:

- A fic by cheeky_eyes which I have to get off my ass and review, dammit
- A card from my dad

And that's it.

Yeah. Gave like seven people I barely even know two month paids, though, so that's good... and when Seve comes back I'll probably get him a belated Christmas present, too. More reason to not leave ever again. ;;

In other news, I'm quite sad that the anon that posted about making a possible YGO game is probably not going to make it a public game due to fear of wank, from what I hear. So much for getting my hopes up, I guess. :/

We got a blizzard that hit us hard, and thus got like two feet of snow dumped on us. Plus, my dad found that the brake fluid of my car is leaking when he was shoveling the snow, which means I may not be able to mail the stuff I got for rhodanum until that gets fixed, whenever that may be. But I do have it, so I'll ship it off when I get the chance.

This Christmas was slightly better than last year... for my dad, anyway. For me, it was somewhat worse. Just another Saturday, nothing special. I'm sure as hell running dry on holiday spirit, personally. I'm glad he wasn't so depressed this year, cause that would've rubbed off on me and really ruined it, but it kinda made me disappointed in my own right, and made me consider a lot of things.

My hours are fucked up seemingly beyond repair right now. I currently go to sleep at like noon and wake up at like 2 AM, or somewhere thereabouts. It's awful, but I don't have the willpower or reason to stay up long enough to fix it and sleep like a normal person.

...I also had a dream where I was orally fixated to the point of despaaaaaair, and that I wanted to suck someone off so badly I was considering putting an ad online on some dating site. o___O I don't even know what the fuck that was about.
