I fiddled with my friends list. If I deleted you it's probably because your entries are frequently long and you don't use ljcut enough. No offense, but you mess up my friends page. My entries are virtually all friends only so if for some strange reason you enjoy reading my lj and want to be added, shoot me an email.

I've been talking to my sister and she wants you all to know that she's grateful for your prayers and concern. Her cell phone is working again and anyone who wants to call her is welcome to do so.

Our mom didn't get much sleep last night because she's uncomfortable and the CCU is not a quiet place. We're hoping that she'll get moved to another room this afternoon but they've said she's not going home tomorrow. We haven't been able to talk to her doctor so we don't know why they're keeping her longer than they'd originally hoped.

If she does get moved this afternoon I'm going to take her a big bunch of purple flowers. That should cheer her up.

Thank you to everyone for your care and concern. It helps me to know that my mom is in your thoughts and prayers. I'm exhausted so I'll just paste here what I posted in the thread in MPSIMS:

I just got back from the hospital and can report that she is doing well. They want her to stay flat on her back until they're sure that the incision on her leg where they went in with the catheter is closed up. If all goes well they will move her out of CCU to a regular room in the cardiac wing tomorrow and she might go home on Monday.

My mom has always been proud of her vitality but she says the heart attack has shaken her self confidence. I think her emotional recovery is going to be as important as her physical recovery.

Geobabe1's and my mom had a heart attack last night. She's in the CCU now and has had a stent placed in her left anterior descending artery, which was completely blocked. She is resting comfortably now.

Lise and Bill are out of town without internet access; I'm making this post open so that those on my sister's friends list who are not on mine will get the word.

This weekend I've got to find meme some calamari!

I love my sister and I want to thank her for introducing me to SDMB and LJ. Without exception, the friends I've made have changed my life for the better.
