The Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Bangladesh (abbreviated ANAMEB) is a professional association representing the interests of naval architectural and ship building professionals in Bangladesh. The journey of this association was started in 1993 by an ad-hoc committee, where Dr. Md. Sadiqul Baree was the convener and Mr. Md. Muin Uddin Zulfiquer was the member secretary. By the great effort of that ad-hoc committee, this association was informally established on 1998 as the national society of naval architects and marine engineers in Bangladesh. It’s first committee was elected in the same year with Senior Naval Architect Mr. Saiful Islam as the President

FELLOW ANAMEB MEMBERS,
I AM PLEASED TO REPORT TO YOU ON THE “STATE” OF OUR ASSOCIATION AND OUR AMBITIONS FOR THE COMING YEARS.
As One Of The New,Continuously Operating, Technical Professional’s Associations In Bangladesh, ANAMEB Serves To Not Only Tries To Make Understand The Authorities The Requirements Of Naval Architects In Different Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous And Private Relevant Organizations But Also Fight For The Establishment Of The Right Of The Naval Architects In Different Organizations As Well As Set The Standard For Naval Architectural And Marine Engineering Affairs In The 21st Century, And Has Done So Now For Last 17 Years.
Activities
A team from the newly formed executive committee of the Association of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (ANAME), led by President Engr. Saiful Islam, held an introductory meeting with Commodore Mohammad Maksud Alam(E), BSP, NUP, BCGM, BCGMS, ndc, psc, BN, the Director General of the Department of Shipping (DG-DOS), on January 8, 2025, at his office. The team included Dr. Md. Reaz Hasan Khondoker (Member), Engr. Muin Uddin Zulfiquer (Member), Engr. Md. Monirul Islam (General Secretary), and Engr. Ataur Rahman (Senior Joint Secretary) of ANAME. Additionally, Mar. Engr. Md. Monjurul Kabir, Chief Engineer and Ship Surveyor for the Department of Shipping, was present during the meeting.
