Ampache

Ampache is a software program that allows you to access and manage your music collection over a local network or even the Internet.

You will need to register to use Ampache, but once done, you will be able to browse all the albums stored on the server, which also includes those stored locally. In addition, the management of your collection allows you to define user access rights. With Ampache, you can also listen to existing songs, although note that this is not a music player.

Ampache allows you to store various data about the titles it hosts, including the cover art and the song duration, so you will have everything you need to know about your favorite music at your fingertips. The home page, in fact, shows a list of the most outstanding albums of the moment, your last listened songs and statistics.

But this is not all you can do with Ampache. It features an active playlist that allows you to listen to artists related to the current song, as well as to get a random melody. Naturally, Ampache also includes customization options so that you can sort it all as you like.
