AlZip is the latest addition to the family of programs from Altools. With Alzip, you can unzip over 36 different file formats.
The program is capable of opening CD disk images, like ISO and BIN, as well as CD virtual drives like LCD. On the flip side, you can create ALZ archives with unlimited size, something ideal for storing RAW-formatted video.
AlZip allows you to easily create extractable files, divide them into parts, and add password protection.
The application is so comprehensive that it even includes a utility to recover a lost or forgotten password.
Some other interesting features include the capacity to integrate with the Windows operating system and with some antivirus programs, as well as the ability to repair damaged ZIP files.

The program looks good. I've encountered several files with the ALZ extension, and it seems to compress well. It seems like strong competition for WinRAR.
