Who we are

Founded in early 2024 The AI Whistleblower Initiative (formerly OAISIS), exists to support individuals working at the frontier of AI who wish to flag risks in a safe and legal manner. For the sake of those upright individuals, and because we want to see incentives shift towards consistently responsible development of AI.

We support individuals and organizations who share these values.

AIWI is an independent non-profit project currently hosted by Whistleblower Netzwerk e.V., one of the oldest whistleblower support non-profits globally and a member of the Whistleblower International Network (WIN).

AIWI is led by Karl Koch and Maximilian Nebl, former tech entrepreneurs with a background in AI safety and open-source development.
