Values and Code of Ethics

Members of the Azerbaijan Industrial Safety Association (hereinafter - AISA) undertake to adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical conduct. This Code of Ethics sets out the fundamental principles and guidelines that should guide AISA members in the industrial safety sector, their professional roles and their actions and decisions within AISA. AISA employees and members must follow its values and ethical principles to support the strengthening of its activities and be an example to other employees.

•  Integrity:
  AISA members are unequivocally committed to acting with integrity, honesty and transparency in all professional and business dealings in their activities here. They must actively avoid conflicts of interest and promptly disclose potential conflicts that may arise, while maintaining an environment of trust. The preservation of these values not only ensures the integrity of individual activities, but also contributes to the overall integrity of the community.

• Respect:
  Adhering to the principles of inclusiveness, AISA members must refrain from showing favoritism against any individual or group based on factors such as race, nationality, religion, language, gender, age, welfare status, belief, social or other associational affiliation. In addition, they should avoid creating conditions that facilitate favoring any individual or group based on these characteristics. All individuals should be treated with the utmost respect and dignity. AISA and its members actively contribute to creating an environment that is inclusive, diverse and values the unique contributions of each individual. By actively promoting diversity and inclusion, members enrich the professional environment and strengthen the association's performance.

• Safety and Health:
  AISA members strive to promote and ensure the safety and health of people in their workplaces. They prioritize the well-being of employees, the public and the environment by strictly adhering to relevant safety regulations and standards. This dedication not only ensures compliance but also contributes to the development of a safety culture in the industry.

• Privacy:
  Exhibiting the highest regard for professional ethics, AISA members respect and protect the confidential information obtained in the course of their activities here. Disclosure of confidential information without proper authorization is strictly prohibited. Protecting privacy not only protects sensitive information, but also fosters trust and a reliable environment among members.

• Social Responsibility:
  Realizing their social responsibilities, AISA members actively contribute to the welfare of society. They are not only encouraged, but empowered to participate in activities that promote safety awareness and sustainable practices, thereby making a positive impact on the communities they serve. This commitment to social responsibility goes beyond professional obligations and helps AISA members achieve their goals even faster by positively impacting society.

• Professionalism:
  Members must demonstrate dedication to maintaining and enhancing their professional knowledge, skills and competence. AISA encourages and supports members to constantly develop their knowledge and skills, develop their qualifications, improve themselves and keep up-to-date on issues related to their job functions, and have an advanced outlook.

• Professional Relations:
  AISA members maintain professional relationships based on integrity, honesty and mutual respect. They conscientiously avoid behavior that could compromise their professional integrity and ensure that interactions maintain the highest ethical standards. By fostering ethical relationships, members contribute to a positive professional atmosphere that benefits both individuals and the community as a whole.

• Reporting violations:
  AISA members recognize the importance of promptly reporting any violations of this Code of Ethics. They actively foster a culture that supports the reporting of concerns without fear of retaliation, thereby promoting transparency, accountability and sustainable development. Reporting violations is not only a duty, but also an active step towards creating an environment that values ethical behavior and self-development.

  AISA actively creates opportunities for personal and professional development to achieve excellence. AISA members actively contribute to the continuous improvement of industry safety practices and standards through collaboration, knowledge sharing and an ongoing commitment to develop the common picture in the field.
