Welcome to AFIT and the D'Azzo Research Library! As you settle into your new surroundings and prepare for classes, there are three things to be aware of, to make use of the library:
1. Library Account: Physical library cards will no longer be issued. Your Library account has already been made for you upon in-processing. Your library account number will be e-mailed to you. This number will allow you to log-into the library catalog to: view your check-outs, renew books, and place books on hold. To check-out a book, simply present your CAC at the front desk! If you did not receive your library account number via e-mail, please e-mail the Circulation Desk: AFIT.ENWL.CIRCULATIONDESK@US.AF.MIL or call the front desk at 937-255-3005.
2. OpenAthens - This account will provide you with online access to our journals, eBooks, databases & more. AFIT students can complete the self-registration form for an OpenAthens account at https://register.openathens.net/afit.edu/register. Please email AFIT.ENWL.OFF-Campus@us.af.mil if you need assistance with your account.
3. Get to know your library liaison - Each librarian is assigned to a specific department. They are ready to help you with any questions you may have about the library, library resources, and your ongoing thesis or PhD research.
