So spaketh the last survivor. We've decided on an icon exchange in the style of the drop-off.

So. Thank you, skyships, for your feedback on the previous post. Majority vote favors an icon exchange. The question is, how many of you are interested in participating? Also, there are two kinds of icon exchanges we can do.

• In the style of Secret Santa. See Week 200. It's the traditional method. We can opt in or out on the whole voting process. This would only work if a large amount of people signed up.
• In the style of the Drop-off. See Week 247. It requires less of a commitment if you sign up and doesn't matter how many people sign up for it. You don't have to specifically make or ask for Advent Children icons.

What do you goes think? Which method would you prefer? Also, aeriiths, if we decide on the Secret Santa-style icon exchange, would you be interested in helping me?

Okay, this time I totally disappeared off the face of the internet. I'm sorry! But I've returned, more or less. I've got a few things to bring up with everyone still reading. aeriiths and I recently discussed the future of this community. Participation has wavered to a near halt. It makes sense, given the age of the fandom and progression of the icon-making community as a whole. adventawards is over six and a half years old. It's had an amazing run.

Consider these next few weeks (or days) as the community's final farewell. To those who are still interested and have the time, I'm asking you how you would prefer to say goodbye. Suggestions are appreciated. I can't get a poll together on here to save my life, so comment below. What last activity could we have the most fun with: one last theme, party post, Advent Children rewatch, icon exchange, or something else?

Sorry again for the lack of reminders guys, but Christmas and New Year was all pretty busy for me. Either way we still didn't get even a single submission. Since this challenge has been open for 3 weeks now it seems silly to keep it open for even longer so it may as well be cancelled.

There should be another post later in the week.

I've been pretty busy lately so I've not had time to put up a reminder. Either way we don't actually have any icons yet. I'm gonna extend this for two weeks since I don't want to be hassling over this over Christmas, so do try and get an icon or two in before January 2 at 10PM PST.

Since phacelia is going to be busy, this is a quick note to say that I'll be handling the rest of this week.

I've noticed that we've not been getting any submissions, and I'm wondering whether the availability of the font is the problem. It's only a preset on macs as far as I'm aware and otherwise it costs money, so if you don't have the font available there are some similar alternatives.

I'm sorry, I should've put this up earlier. But we will be having a week-long hiatus in observance of Thanksgiving, or if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, this is in celebration of the end of November. We will be back on Wednesday, November 30 which is when I will post Week 279. Enjoy your break!
