Short Courses

These are subspecialty seminars targeting specific issues in pathology, diagnostic challenges, and practical reviews and approaches. Each course is 90 minutes long.

Special Courses

Special Courses address issues that cross subspecialty borders. These courses range from 2-8 hours.

Interactive Microscopy

Interactive Microscopy courses simulate sign out. This is an opportunity to study relevant cases presented by experts.

Hot Topics

Explore burning topics in pathology with your favorite experts in one hour sessions at noon, Monday through Thursday. Lunch comes with registration, but you bring the questions!

Companion Society Meetings

USCAP’s Companion Societies will be producing educational content for each Society. After the educational content is presented there will be a Q & A with the faculty.

Evening Specialty Conferences are developed to provide learners with the most current information by examining case materials to illustrate new information about a subject, recent technological advances, and a review of complex topics.

Satellite Symposia

Satellite Symposia are industry-sponsored, CME-certified symposia offered in conjunction with the USCAP Annual Meeting.

Professional Development Workshops

Professional development workshops address a variety of topics from Women in Pathology to Lab Sustainability.

Exhibitor Seminars

Exhibitor Seminars are sessions where exhibitors present their latest research findings and allow for discussion and networking.

Long Course

The focus of this course is to provide a deep dive into a specific topic. Faculty members will use lectures and interactive case based discussions to review diagnostic challanges and udpates.

Luminaries in Pathology

Join two of pathology’s most distinguished teachers as they guide you through challenging cases in a virtual slide session. Each will spend 50 minutes sharing diagnostic pearls and cautionary tales while engaging audience members in an open access interactive session.

A Day in the Sign Out

These sessions will provide a practical approach to handling cases that routinely pass through the surgical pathology service. These sessions are open to everyone, however they may be most beneficial for trainees and junior faculty members.

Moderated Posters

These interactive sessions feature presenters from the Stowell-Orbison Poster Session. Each presenter has 5 minutes to discuss their research.

Histology Bootcamp

This session will provide an in-depth assessment of the spectrum of findings that may be seen in “normal” biopsy samples. Faculty will discuss normal anatomy and histology as well as potential pitfalls. This new session is open to everyone at all levels of experience.

Platform Sessions

Selected from the best of the abstracted submissions, platform sessions are 10 minute oral presentations, followed by a short Q&A.
