About Cyrus Shepard

When he first discovered SEO in 2009, Cyrus had a eureka moment. Instead of using pushy sales tactics, he could harness the power of search to deliver what people were looking for at precisely the time they needed it.

After that, things moved quickly. A few highlights:

  • 2009: The first SEO client, growing a wine business from 500k in sales to 2.5 million in a single year
  • 2010: Joined Moz (formerly SEOmoz) – the most trusted SEO company in the world. Quickly promoted to Lead SEO
  • 2011: First speaking event at MozCon, which would lead to speaking to thousands of people at SEO conferences all over the world
  • 2013: Lead the Moz Audience Development Team
  • 2016: Forms Fazillion Media, focusing on content and affiliate marketing
  • 2018: Zyppy is born!
