Generation Kill

Generation Kill is based on Evan Wright's non-fiction book of the same name, which he researched as an embedded journalist in Iraq for a series of articles in Rolling Stone that eventually turned into the book. The story focuses on the early missions of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, and the challenges they faced, leading to confrontations between the Marines and the military bureaucracy. The book also looks at the differences between today's military personal and those from earlier generations, with the young soldiers today having grown up with videogames and the internet.
