I am a PostDoc at the ifo Institute in Munich.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (2017) and previously obtained a Master’s in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge, UK (2011).

I am a research network affiliate at CESifo, IZA, and EconPol and part of the junior faculty at Ludwig-Maximilians-University, as well as a J-PAL Invited Researcher.

My main research interests are migration, labour economics, and development economics. In particular, I am interested in the causes (conflict) and the consequences (productivity, innovation, political effects) of migration. I am also interested in the integration of immigrants, in particular the labour market integration of refugees.

I have two years of work experience at the OECD, worked as a consultant for the European Parliament, the International Organisation for Migration, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the World Bank, and as a research assistant for the Expert Commission on Research and Innovation for the German Government.
