ICS has done captives differently from the start, inspired by the visionary leadership of Founder and CEO, Dan Keough. Our Story

At ICS, innovation and client-focused solutions have driven our growth since day one. Here’s a look at the milestones that shaped who we are today:

1999

ICS launches its Property Casualty Group Captive Division with five dedicated employees, laying the foundation for our future.

2004

Introduces the Consulting & Management Division, expanding our ability to deliver strategic guidance.

2005

Establishes Strategic Investments, a Cayman-domiciled mutual fund owned by property casualty group captives, creating new investment opportunities.

2012

ICS starts the Employee Benefits Group Captive Division and names Tom Stewart as President, marking a new era of leadership.

2014–2015

Creates United Fund and Builders Re, adding an additional reinsurance layer and investment opportunities for property casualty group captives.

2015

Acquires Aceterrus and forms the ICS team in Bigfork, MT. ICS becomes the only Montana-approved captive manager for consulting & management services.

2018

Stephani Manning honored as one of Des Moines Business Record’s Forty Under 40.

2023

Stephani Manning named ICS President.
Nick Blyth recognized by Des Moines Business Record and Captive International Forty Under 40 lists.

2025

Ashley Mataloni named one of Des Moines Business Record’s Forty Under 40.
