E100 Object Storage Appliance
A XenData E100 Appliance provides from 360 TB to 1.8 PB of on-premises disk-based object storage.
Access as Private Cloud and NAS
It can be simultaneously accessed as a private cloud and as NAS (Network Attached Storage), making it ideal when both remote and on-premises access are required.
Continuous Data Protection
The E100 has three options to protect your valuable content:
- mirror to LTO data tape, an option that provides excellent ransomware protection
- mirror to the cloud, including to AWS Glacier and Azure Archive Tier
- mirror to another E100 Appliance in a different location.
Optimized for Media
The E100 is optimized for media files. It includes XenData Media Portal, a web interface which allows users to browse and search for video and image files stored on the E100. Users can view image thumbnails and play video previews. Having identified the files that they need, they can then download them via their browser.
In addition, the E100 appliance is supported by many popular media applications including many leading Media Asset Management (MAM) applications.
Scalable
The base system has one disk storage node which provides a usable capacity of 360 TB. It can be upgraded by adding up to four further nodes, each of which adds a usable capacity of 360 TB, for a maximum capacity of 1.8 PB.
The solution may be further expanded to 10+ PB by operating multiple E100 Appliances in parallel with a XenData Gateway to provide access. The Gateway runs on a dedicated Windows 2022 server or cluster, and it maintains the single file system interface to the parallel units.
