Soooooo,
We learnt 2 improtant lessons in this test, which I will get too later in this comentary.
So TK was cajoled into getting the server exe to run and four of us proceeded to twiddle our thumbs as we tried to get things too work. We quickly established that TKs computers require more power, as they maxed out his ram in short order.
That established I stepped up to run the server, and one quick exe we were away. Inital thoughts, very resource heavy but once the game begins to stablise it ran smoothly and the landscape was nice.
Not sure at the start if it was on normal, as no obvious options on the basic server, but this was quickly established as well.
Creepers are not nice things.
So the game progressed and I began to do my usual stick of setting up a fort and lighting it, usually with flaming logs.
And, I started a small forest fire.
Oops.
This caused some cursing and panic as wood was farmed in sort order to stop the swath of devastation. This led to Salamander3 to proceed to build a wooden house.
Eeve3 started to mine down and PSlion planted trees, everywhere...
And I started to build up my fortress up as I do.
The biggest problem was, as I saw it, were the creepers who congregated around the corners of our bases and usually blew up next too, or on top off, a base.
So I planted some burning logs...
Next to a wooden building...
Ah,
Oh, well...
So, lesson number 1) Dont let me play with fire.
Lesson number 2) Dont build houses from wood.
Server restart.....
