On Sunday Morning...

Well the first week of the new job went swimmingly. Everyone is pretty nice and the office/work environment is so cool. Almost all young people, laid back, everyone seems to be in a good mood. I think i'm the only really stressed person in the building and that's just cause I'm trying to learn everything so fast. Basically, since i handle all the customer e-mail for this particular division, when we come in Monday, there are like 500 e-mails waiting to be answered. That won't be very fun. But otherwise, it's manageable, and once i get my footing and start remembering how to do everything without asking someone each time, i'll be able to fly through most of them, and still have time to IM while i'm doing it!

Ashley and I went to The Melting Pot last night (a fondue restaurant). It was awesome. We were there three hours and they gave us this little corner booth that was away from all the other tables. Felt like it was totally just the two of us. I'm not usually a big sucker for the "romantic evening" but it was definitely nice. I'm still dreaming about the Wisconsin cheese fondue also. Delectable.

In other news... Go Ravens!!! 2 1/2 hours till kick off. Better go paint myself purple!

yeah i've slacked lately, what are you gonna do about it? that's what i thought.

so the new job begins monday. i'm pretty excited about it. although i really have no clue as to how the whole thing will play out. basically i know i'm going to be in charge of subscriber e-mails for the financial newsletter dept. of course i have no clue what said e-mails might include, but apparently it's a one person job and i don't have to be a financial wiz to do it. so that's of the good.

the car is working out great too. i really like it and i think it looks sharp. 2004 Saturn Ion, black, if anyone cares.

although nothing can go perfectly in life and i found out today that my grandmother had a stroke last night. she has no use of her right hand at the moment, but hopefully that'll come back. with her down in FL, its hard to do anything but wait for someone to call and update me. she'll be in the hospital overnight at least. it sucks being helpless, but not like i can control the situation no matter where i live.

well anyway, going to see Kill Bill tonight. i'm really looking forward to being able to afford going to the movies again. i feel like i've missed a lot of good ones. like that talking dog movie... and that wacky Dana Carvey comedy when he wears different disguises. haha classics!!!

alright, enough for now. re-watching Buffy Season 7 on FX is fun. i'll do that now i think.

got a new car, got a GREAT job, totaling my car was the best thing ever. i loved that thing but apparently it was a bad luck charm, because as soon as it's gone, life gets fantastic. now all i need is the Yankees to lose the World Series and this will be the best week ever.

Uninspired

Alias last night didn't live up to my expectations. But then again the season finale was so great and i had built the new season so high up in my head, i don't know how it could have met them. it was still a good ep, but it was missing some of the heart and soul of last year i guess. erasing two years from the show will do that i suppose. it'll just take some getting used to.

i'm so listless today. i should be doing job stuff but i have no energy. i faxed one resume early this morning but nothing since then. well thats not true. i went to Roy Rogers. that was good. i want to go again but my pudgey ass would not thank me for that. and my less than pudgey wallet would thank me even less.

i love fall. i can't wait to go to a haunted house or something. this is definitely a good time of year. and it'd be even better if i got a job soon too. there's that word again... guess i better stop guilt tripping myself and his the virtual pavement.
