I don't really care about my CV, or even LinkedIn profile anymore, but I'd be able to add "have grown a forest on completely degraded land, and made it water positive" to it today :) #permaculture #milestogo

Came across this today. Much truth.

F*** startup valuations - what we owe so many efforts like @peakbengaluru @oxygenblr and dozens other is worth a lot more in real value. And nope, value != valuation.

In everything the supply chain enables, the village has almost no share in value addition. Indeed, the village now primarily buys off the value chain too. With economic loss of course, but also health, biodiversity loss and huger footprint.
I bought canned coconut water from a vending machine in Delhi airport. It turns out imported coconut water. Coconut farmers have been hurting due to low prices in the South. Our farmers don't take part in the higher value markets like this example and we have to enable them to.

Not even 8am, and #Bengaluru is choked already. Thanks to the #biketaxi ban, had to take an auto. Give me walkable shortest paths to the bus stops, and bike lanes, please. This is no way to create cities.

This is awesome and inspiring. On Sampige Road. Everyone has a role to play to change the "network" a little bit more for #ClimateAction - individual, business, corporate, governance, policy, research. pic courtesy @karthikrangappa

Who's up for a coffee meet-up to fix the rates for tech, finance, marketing folks? Oh, and lawyers and doctors, please, too. Union when you pay and free market when you get paid, eh?
I think this is a good initiative - societies setting fixed rate cards for dometic workers. It will ensure fair compensation for them. However, I don't see my society members agreeing on the rates. What do you think - will such an idea take off in your society or in India?

Today's timeline therapy: male pufferfish spend 7-9 days creating geometric masterpieces on the seabed to attract mates and as nests. "Nowhere else in nature does an animal create something as complex and perfect as this." And not a protractor in sight.

"What's the point of fintech without a planet to live on". I've been pretty blown away with the level of commitment and belief in the team, and am looking forward to doing a lot with so many doing amazing work out there.
We are launching a non-profit, @RainmatterOrg led by @zenx with a commitment of $100mn to focus on climate change and green jobs in India consolidating our many social initiatives over the years. What's the point of fintech without a planet to live on?rainmatter.org/blog/introduci…

Both @Zoho + @svembu & @zerodha + @Nithin0dha hv consistently shown that startups/entrepreneurs do NOT have to give in to hype cycles, hot money and "hustle"-above-all-else to build large, profitable businesses with huge value. So happens both think of larger issues too!

Only if we leave the rest alone. At an individual building level there's an optimal height wrt energy intensity of utilities etc, and QoL. But if we build out all of that using apartments - the usual case - we get where we are.

We need a million minds, orgs and individuals, policy makers, citizen groups evolving common goals and trying solutions on these. Happy to collaborate with everyone on this. Let's make this mainstream.
