- today my new book officially came out. I'm overwhelmed by the love and enthusiasm, the support from friends and strangers, the kindness from tao and the love he's put into making it. thankful to everyone who had a hand in making it perfect. feeling happy. hope you all enjoy it 🖤
- recently cleaned up my ~3 shelves dedicated to small press books and zines
- in my experience, small town/suburban millenial parents do not do, make, or engage with art of any kind. the moms watch tv and work out. the dads play video games or work out. almost none paint, draw, write, do textile art, or act. zero make music. feels bleak and alienating
- last winter, at a reading, i told graham that i was frustrated that my book of stories had some duds in it, and i pitched the idea of a book where every story is good. a book that's all bangers. and now that's what we're all writing. you can join the movement too
- hearing rumors that Everything Is Totally Fine is a staff pick at @Powells. hearing other, unrelated rumors, too. but this one seems most relevant to my twitter brand. but actually this is incredible and I'm laughing out loud. seems insane this is happening, in a good way
- accidentally bought 33 gallon trash bags and felt very powerful opening one up, as if i could throw away anything i desired
- cashier at grocery store asked what green onions were, i said they were green onions, she counted the individual bulbs and charged me for 8 bundles of green onions ($11). voiding the charge required three managers and took fifteen minutes. i enjoyed standing very still throughout
