Starting my internship next semester, so I’ll be walking around with this to express my worry. The gov increased min wage of RM1.5k, but this policy didn’t include interns. Interns are unprotected by the employment act in Malaysia, hence the risk of exploitation by companies.

Day 2. My Italian lecturer said it’s the same happening in Italy. There has been many positive reactions walking around uni today. What’s happening on the ground has been starkly different from a lot of the comments down here. Will try to do this until the end the semester!

I really don’t understand how is this coming from the Minister of YOUTH and Sports. Gaji orang muda stagnant, ada yang sampai tak dapat kerja, lepas tu dapat statement macam ni dari menteri belia. YB Hannah, please remember that there are 300,000 unemployed youths in Malaysia.

hello new students of UM, I made my own rules during orientation and went back to my room even after they did any activities after 11pm. You deserve you rest no matter what they say. If you need a longer nap, just take it. Trust me you won’t be missing out on anything :))

In South Korea there was a case similar to this V2K that was happening. The whole country was outraged and the person responsible is now in jail. His face was even exposed. Is our government capable of doing the same? Are they capable of protecting women?

Malaysia is one of the 20 countries that still criminalises suicide. I’m observing International Mental Health and Human Rights Day (which are both in December) by walking with this placard in UM until the end of month. Have a conversation with me about it if you see me 😊

And do not get me started on how UM requires their student to PAY university fees DURING internship semesters. Like we’re not going to classes or anything so why should we pay the same amount of fees like usual semesters?

Emergency ambulances are ESSENTIAL for public hospitals. First line treatment that save lives. Whether we like it or not, apps are a barrier. A lot of communities still struggle with digitalisation. And don’t use fancy words to hide what you’re doing. Kita semua tak bodoh.

Tipu MC? This kind of mentality of thinking patients would lie about symptoms is the exact reason why a lot of people with chronic pain like me take YEARS to get diagnosed. Doctors thought it was a waste to do some tests on me, turns out I needed those tests 2 years ago.

Correct me if I’m wrong, so this means in the future, before I go a non-Muslim funeral, I need to check whether their family has taken their time and effort to comply with the guidelines and check with the religious authorities? Cause that sounds cruel if you ask me.
