- I grew up around it too but for the safety of all on trains, itβs important to make the distinction between feeling unsafe and actually being unsafe.A narrative I loathe is the shaming of folks who feel unsafe on the trains. As someone who grew up around addiction and who lost a sister to it, being in an enclosed space with drug use *feels* very unsafe. It is triggering, anxiety-inducing, and a reason I avoid the trains.
