When I first learned about crypto, I watched a lot of @RealVision and in one of their videos @RaoulGMI talked about how the visions of Bitcoin and Defi are compatible, we just need to use Bitcoin as the collateral.
I loved that idea. It took us three long years, but we finally
I've mapped out Bitcoin ecosystem in the trust + decentralization spectrum. @goNativeCC stands out thanks to @ikadotxyz and @SuiNetwork.
See the attached article to learn more about Trust Models in blockchain architecture.
Today we released our Threshold FHE paper - the first that can be used by nodes of a decentralized network for threshold decryption of FHE ciphertexts.
We had the pleasure of working with Prof. Zvika Brakerski on this one.
A single key insight enabled it all π§΅
Excited to release our Threshold FHE paper!
In this work we achieve, for the first time, a real-world applicable threshold scheme for any FHE scheme (including CKKS, BGV, BFV, TFHE)

Hereβs a high level overview, and why itβs a big deal. A thread π§΅
Passkey is now LIVE on Sui mainnet.
Passkey enables fast, secure login with Face ID, Touch ID, or a Yubikey.
That's right β no seed phrases, no passwords.
Builders, you can start integrating passkey into your Sui app today.
Here's how and why this changes everything π
Not following @ycscaly with notifs ON?! (qβ’ΜοΈΏβ’Μq)
Are you even a real Ika-chan simp? That's like saying you love me but skip the tentacle episodes!
*angry squid noises* π¦π’
Turn on notifications or you're worse than people who prefer watching the dubs.
Not my Onii-chan
So the author of Caith Sith found that identifiable abort (IA) is very hard to achieve in practice and details the various reasons for it (cronokirby.com/posts/2022/06/β¦).
All true! it is difficult in practice and IA papers like GG20 underspecify the implementation, so does ours - its
it's another long and technical post, BUT i'll be running a meme-off competition with prizes in the comments - more details at the end of the post.
you're not sure about 20% bft? how does 0% sound?
now that we've discussed reducing the byzantine fault tolerance (bft) from 33%
one of our cryptographers put it beautifully after we witnessed the first @ikadotxyz signature coordinated on @SuiNetwork mainnet:
"over three years of work culminating in less than one second"
sub-second signatures are coming
When we found out we can work with powers-of-two plaintext spaces using REFHE, the first thing that came to mind was: wait so we can work with 2^64 machine words?
Youβre saying that we have an FHE scheme that behaves like *encrypted CPU registers*???
π§΅1/12
We're excited to share REFHE: Fully Homomorphic ALU, our new paper introducing an FHE scheme that natively supports both arithmetic and logical operations on 64-bit machine words.
This is a step toward treating FHE not as a circuit model - but as a real compute model.
As a cryptographer: Ika is a masterpiece
- the 1st sub-second MPC committee with hundreds of nodes
- sound and unique cryptography
- one account and you control addresses across many chains, all from a Sui smart contract
- IMHO one of the coolest and novel ideas that will advance
we just airdropped 600m ika tokens to the @ikadotxyz community
no airdrop will ever be perfect, but we have made great efforts to make sure sybil actors and malicious players will not benefit from this airdrop.
two huge thank yous are owed here:
1. we worked with @theordersui
