I am on scene of the incident on I-5 and Olive way. A vehicle drove through the closure and struck multiple pedestrians on the freeway. Two people were transported to Harborview. One with life threatening injuries and one with serious injuries.

- Here are two pictures of the suspect vehicle that struck two protesters on I-5 this morning. Investigation into motive and point of entry in to I-5 are still under investigation.
- The vehicle has been stopped and the driver is in custody. Troopers are investigating at this time. The SB lanes of I-5 will continue to be close for a while.
- So… this car was reported as driving erratically on SR 164 in the Enumclaw area. Troopers were able to find the vehicle at the Texaco. This was a stolen car. The driver was 13 and the passengers were 11, 13, 13 and 14.
- It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to share that Trooper Renee Padgett passed away this morning at the age of 50 with 27 years with the WSP. Renee fought a tough battle with cancer for 6 and a half years. She spent her whole career in King County. #YouAreMissed
- This gorgeous eagle was found by a @wastatepatrol trooper SB I-5 today near the West Seattle Freeway. Alive and at PAWS Lynnwood for treatment !! #PAWS is awesome!!
- This driver was caught going 128 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on SR-900 near I-5 in south Seattle this evening. He was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for Reckless Driving.
- So…NB 405 to NE 85th is closed this weekend for construction. This driver went around the cones designating the closure and ended up like this. No impairment and no injuries. Driver explained they “forgot” it was closed.
- Last night, Troopers again did an emphasis on I-5 in Federal way for just over 2 hours. They stopped 38 cars, 27 of those were aggressive drivers. 1 was arrested for DUI and 1 was arrested for a felony warrant. SLOW DOWN!!! Where should we do the next emphasis?? 🤔🚓
- Troopers just attempted to stop these two bikes for 100+ MPH and doing wheelies on I-5 in Federal Way. The bikes fled and WSP Aircraft followed them to Renton where they stopped for gas. Both riders were taken into custody and will be booked into KC Jail for eluding, a felony.
- Last night around 10pm, Troopers did an emphasis on I-5 in the Tukwila area. In 2 hours, they stopped 31 vehicles. 28 of those vehicles were aggressive drivers. One stop resulted in a DUI arrest. Slow Down!!
- Um. Huh?? This was a stop yesterday by an @wastatepatrol trooper on SR 509 for no seatbelt and expired tabs. #LawnChair not ok or legal.
