- Employee shot this from #Issaquah during rough seas Tuesday near Strait of Juan de Fuca. We were moving vessel w/o passengers to #Anacortes. Damage minimal. This has no effect on service. Ferry will replace #Chelan in #SanJuanIslands by the weekend. Sorry about language in video.
00:00 - “Why is it always ferries are such a Washington state icon and not me. I live here! What’s so great about a floating — oh my god it’s right behind me isn’t it...”
- In honor of the @Mariners, @GovInslee has directed that all 21 vessels in our fleet be temporarily renamed after players and personnel starting tomorrow 10/13 through as long as the #Mariners remain in the 2022 @MLB Postseason. #SeaUsRise wsdot.wa.gov/about/news/202…
- Our crews are trained to see when things are out of the ordinary & that training helped a child today. Shortly after an Amber Alert was issued, a sharp-eyed crew member on the #Issaquah noticed that a pair that matched the description of the child& suspect walked on in #Bremerton
- Once or twice a week, @treadingalong1 & his girlfriend Sarah travel on our #PortTownsend/#Coupeville route to see each other. So, a ⛴️ seemed perfect for a surprise marriage proposal. Last weekend, Joshua surprised Sarah on the #Salish sun deck. She said yes! Congrats!
- She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she IS the moment. 💅

00:00 - Today gives a new meaning to “Baby on Board”. At 3:45 p.m., a healthy baby boy was born on board the #Samish as it was about to leave #LopezIsland to #Anacortes. Our crew & passengers leapt into action, assisting until EMS arrived. Thanks to the crew & passengers for the assist!
- Good morning and happy St. Patrick's Day! Found the pot of gold and it's in the form of a ferry! Safe travels to all our ferry friends out there.💚⛴️🌈
