- I'll confess another error on my part: I mocked AOC's call to abolish ICE because her proposal was to abolish ICE the specific department and re-route its duties into other departments. This seemed insubstantial. I was wrong. The department itself has proven uniquely dangerous.
- There's seriously *zero* legitimate reason for a libertarian to still think Trump term 2 is not obviously significantly worse than any plausible Harris PresidencyBREAKING: Trump says he has asked drugmakers to cut US prices of drugs in 60 days, or face consequences.
- Economics is basically the one field where "then why we still got monkeys" level reasoning is still accepted among generally intelligent people. Like, the reason that this is a stupid reply is extremely obvious if you even faintly understand the original point.
- Kauffman apparently still believes the "Haitians have an average IQ of 67" thing and I am still baffled at how insanely, *stupidly* racist you would have to be for that to be even faintly plausible, rather than a reason to reject out of hand whatever study got that result.

- Kendi is maybe the only person I've felt comfortable writing off as very, very bad on the basis of one paragraph. But it really was an extremely bad paragraph.
- Good example of my point about Kauffman: if you view other human beings in this dehumanizing of a way (especially based on group classifications), you won't sustain any commitment to individual liberty. Rather, you'll start finding the idea of individual liberty laughably stupid.

- Worth observing that fascists don't directly make arguments. They instead make vague, vibes-based analogies and expect you to feel like an argument has been made.
