If I set aside 4 hrs to complete a task, I’ll take 4 hrs. If I give myself 2 hrs, I get it done in 2. I found out this is called Parkinson's Law: Work expands to fill the time available for its completion. The tighter the deadline, the more work gets done in a shorter time.
