My dads advice when I sat the bench my first two years in college:
“Work harder. Leave no doubt.”
Be that parent.
- Who is a 2023 that’s flying under the radar right now? Hey committed guys, pump your boys. Shout out some grinders.
- I’ve heard the “Mason is soft” stuff my whole life. “Entitled” this “spoiled” that. And I can understand a little bit why some might have that view. Yes we have a lot of wealthy families here. Where there’s success there’s someone who will always think it wasn’t earned. (Cont)
- Beyond excited to join the @PrepBaseballOH team and continue to build on an already incredible foundation. Grateful and humbled for the opportunity. To the players, I’m pumped to meet you guys and can’t wait to see your talent and skill. Let’s get to work!𝐆𝐨𝐭. 𝐎𝐮𝐫. 𝐆𝐮𝐲. ✅ We are stoked to announce Kyle Weldon (@weldyhits) as the new Scouting Director for Prep Baseball Ohio. A home run hire in every sense of the word. Beyond excited to see his continued impact on the landscape of HS baseball throughout Ohio! 📰:
- Day 1 for 2026’s. With the scholarship/roster changes looming, this process might go a bit slower for some than it would have in years past. Be patient, develop some relationships with coaches who are interested in you. Learn everything you can about the program. Find a fit.

- Future Games. The 2027 Ohio squad had 25 players from 12 different organizations. Swept the weekend, 3-0, in front of hundreds of schools from across the country. Faced the best players from Michigan, Kansas and Kentucky. Way to represent, fellas! #MadeInOhio
- Hitting coaches around the country are having nightmares about seam-shifted wake (SSW). I’ve had multiple conversations about it this week, so here’s my smooth brained explanation of what SSW is, and how we can train against it. Thread 🧵
- Mass exodus of current players and a wave of decommits in the ‘25 class as news spreads of @LakeErieStorm’s decision not to retain Mike Eversole. Have to imagine it’s going to be a long, uphill climb to regain the momentum they were building.
- Baseball players are sarcastic, hilarious people. You can’t play this game very long without developing a good sense of humor. There’s too much failure involved. Finding humor in your failures and learning from them is what makes baseball a truly incredible sport to play & coach.
- For as crappy as 2020 was, we sure ended on a high note! #WifedHerUp
- Replying to @BarstoolBigCatYou do so much for the game of soccer. Sad more people aren’t talking about it.
- Softball instructor stops me to tell me about how he was trying to get one of his players to stop swinging like a baseball player.. Um what? 🤔
