i did an analysis on every @ConvexFinance transaction and discovered something interesting: gas usage had been skyrocketing by nearly 2x (!!!), seemingly unnoticed. fortunately, i found a fix and was able to cut those costs by ~50% for all users earlier this month ...

Querying event logs in @etherscan has always been difficult. Today I starting building a browser extension to help improve the UX. It detects the contract you're looking at, parses the ABI for all available events, and then quickly searches a full history.

Fun fact if you've ever wondered why @CurveFinance always resets their gauge weights on Thursdays at midnight... It's a clever and gas efficient calculation based on the fact that Unix timestamps (block.timestamp) began at 00:00 Thursday way back in 1970. Modified example:

pretty excited about @PrismaFi TLDR: they are quite similar to @LiquityProtocol, but accept LSTs & feature more dynamic + gamified governance rather than forking veCRV, they've completely modernized it 📝 today, i dug into their contracts and compared their ve system to veCRV
