- not to sound old but i’ve noticed in general that 13-15 year olds in fandom on here are very aggressive and reactionary and quick to bully their own peers which is… troubling? i don’t remember people being this way when i was that age and also on the internet in fan spaces
- it always tickles my heart when canadians find out anne of green gables is popular in japan, this actually isn’t even the first anime for it, there’s two more! its popularity is actually thanks to a woman named hanako muraoka, who was given the book by a canadian missionary-

- it’s actually completely reasonable for someone to dislike a game solely because of excessive fanservice or gross treatment of female characters. i don’t care how good the gameplay/story allegedly is, we’re allowed to be uncomfortable and icked out and can express those opinions

- Replying to @virtualangel39i’m sure the pandemic had a part in this shift, i was talking about this with a friend but isolation seems to have made people hyperdefensive and sensitive about opinions that aren’t their own. drama has always existed but it’s much more common and for sillier reasons now
