Absolutely right from @AngelaRayner today. In Wales, under @WelshLabour, there were no crony contracts and no VIP lanes. There was no excuse for turning the pandemic into a payday for friends.

Really disappointing that @TheSun are planning to print a photo of me on a walk with my wife and young son on the weekend. Our 5 year old was hungry and we bought some chips - all within the rules.

I’ve seen the media briefings and changed message for England. There has not been a 4 nations agreement or discussion on this. The @WelshGovernment message has not changed. Stay at home and if you do go out observe the social distancing rules. #StayHomeSaveLives
From Red to Green.... The yellow and red was very specifically chosen to connote warning, hazard, emergency around the “stay home” message... Red & Green have v different meaning in safety regs...

I know people are concerned about caravan parks filling up & the movement of 2nd homers to rural parts of Wales . I was clear about this in my @WelshGovernment press briefing this morning @huwbbc . The @fmwales and I are actively considering our legal powers to directly intervene

"For people that look like me, having a PM who uses language of ‘watermelon smiles’ and ‘piccaninnies’, it matters. Just as someone comparing the experience of Wales to colonialism and the African American experience. It matters and it’s offensive." My clip from #BBCQuestionTime

Strong words from @Keir_Starmer today on the #BlackLivesMatter movement and why it’s important for us all to join together, challenge racism, inequality and injustice wherever we find it.

I remember when the Welsh Conservatives called for the Health Minister in Wales to be fired for *sitting down outside*.

This won’t create a single job. It won’t lift one child out of poverty. It won’t reward talent or effort. It will make the richest richer. It will stoke division and fuel inequality. It's for the Tories, not the future.
So out of touch. No property in the Rhondda would take a couple over the threshold. This is a tax cut for a tiny proportion of the richest people in the country. Yet more irresponsible Rish!nomics.

Desperately sad news about Clare Drakeford. Our thoughts are with Mark and his family at this very difficult time.

An honour to be elected Leader of our incredible Welsh Labour Party today. I spoke with @Keir_Starmer this morning about the fight ahead and our chance to create a brighter future for Wales, together. Thank you to Jeremy for the ideas, energy and commitment he has brought to
Huge congratulations to @vaughangething on his election as Leader of the Welsh Labour Party. His appointment as First Minister of Wales, the first Black leader in the UK, will be an historic moment that speaks to the progress and values of modern-day Wales. I pay tribute to
    Statement which says:

Huge congratulations to Vaughan Gething on his election as Leader of the Welsh Labour Party. His appointment as First Minister of Wales, the first Black leader in the UK, will be an historic moment that speaks to the progress and values of modern-day Wales.

With his many years of experience in the Senedd, I know he will lead a hopeful, ambitious Welsh Labour government, in the face of a tired and failed Tory Government in Westminster.

On behalf of the entire UK Labour Party, we look forward to campaigning with Vaughan in this new chapter for Wales, to deliver Labour governments across Britain.

Keir Starmer
Leader of the Labour Party
