    Before she became a renowned children's author, Mrs. Cleary was a 1939 graduate of what was then the UW School of Librarianship. Our professorship in children and youth services is named in her honor.

    We are heartbroken to share the news that our friend and colleague Scott Barker has passed away unexpectedly. Scott was a teaching professor and head of IT at the iSchool, and from 2007 to 2017, served as chair of the Informatics program.
