"kris needs the soul to seal the fountains" is a correct conclusion but imo it goes further than that. i think they need the soul to even Be in a dark world – since darkners are objects (so, beings with no soul), then a soulless kris would also.. become a darkner, no?

i wish it wasn't so hard to understand for certain people that asriel saying chara "wasn't the greatest person" doesn't mean they were evil, but that asriel finally understood chara was a flawed individual and not the idolized version he (and the entire underground) made of them

what gets me is that there are cases of the system failing kids in both ut and dr. in ut chara climbs mt. ebott for "not a very happy reason", then engages in a suicide mission to free monsterkind. in dr susie's struggles are dismissed, as she is seen to be a "bad kid", 🧵
