- I joined a rich and engaging parliamentary dialogue in #Spain. My message: In the face of interconnected challenges, no one country can act alone. Our work together is not done until we ensure rights and choices for everyone.
- As we enhance our long-standing partnership with #Spain, I was honoured to sign a strategic framework with H.E. @jmalbares, Minister of Foreign Affairs. With Spain’s support for @UNFPA’s work, we are building a more inclusive world where everyone thrives.
- Building peace and democracy was on the agenda at the 5th Ministerial Conference on #FeministForeignPolicy. When women and girls are healthy and can exercise their rights, societies are more peaceful. It is up to all of us to defend human dignity, freedom and equality.
- Africa's most strategic asset is its people. This week, I joined @AfDB_Group governors for a dialogue on how Africa can mobilize & deploy financing for sustainable development. My message: Africa’s development financing must place people at its centre, especially women & youth.
- Access to menstrual health is a necessity, not a luxury. When women and girls can manage their periods with dignity, they can stay in school, lead in their workplaces, and shape their futures. On #MenstrualHygieneDay, join @UNFPA to ensure that everyone gets the care they need.
- Proud to seal @UNFPA's renewed partnership with @AfDBGroup and solidify our commitment to put maternal health and demographic resilience at the heart of Africa's economic transformation. Our vision: mobilizing smart investments in Africa's future that help everyone thrive.
- We condemn the violations of international law meant to protect civilians in armed conflict. For the sake of our shared humanity, the rules that protect civilians must be upheld. @iascch principals statement ⬇️Protecting civilians in armed conflict is a responsibility Member States and the UN Security Council must uphold. It is a legal obligation and a moral imperative. Principals of the #IASC raise the alarm over blatant violations of IHL and human rights law bit.ly/4wFKWel
- Productive consultations with #Japan, led by Amb. Ryo Nakamura, Director-General and Assistant Minister for Global Issues. Thoughtful discussion on shared priorities, including demographic resilience, UN80 and global humanitarian response. Grateful for Japan’s stalwart support.
- As global challenges become more interconnected and complex, a strong and united UN development system is essential. Important discussions at @UN_SDG Chief Executives Board meeting in Tokyo on emerging trends, multilateral cooperation and making an impact where it matters most.
- To end obstetric fistula, we must close the gaps in maternal healthcare. From 2003 to 2025, @UNFPA supported nearly 153,000 surgical repairs for this childbirth injury. This #EndFistula Day, join us to take action: so that every mother can not just survive, but thrive.
