In AD 96, a largely unknown administrator became Emperor of Rome. Nerva reigned for just 15 months but - coming after such men as Caligula, Claudius & Nero - he became known as The First Good Emperor. This is his life. #histfic #1stCenturyRome Something different from the

Am I the only person to see a parallel between the UK establishment witch hunt against Boris Johnson, and the US equivalent against Donald Trump? Both are hugely popular with the electorate for trying to deliver what people want. Elites hate them.

THIS ISN'T JUST A BETRAYAL OF 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗫𝗜𝗧. IT'S A BETRAYAL OF 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡 AND OUR 𝗦𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗧𝗬. STARMER MUST GO. AND TAKE HIS ENTIRE LYING PARTY WITH HIM. newspaper.mailplus.co.uk/data/5675/read…

Could someone please explain to this tone-deaf Labour government, especially @RachelReevesMP and Sir @Keir_Starmer, that the state pension is a social contract that they simply can't break. We paid for previous generations of pensioners and expect current workers to do the same

I don't think I've ever read a more accurate, damning critique of our entire talentless government than this from Katharine Birbalsingh (@Miss_Snuffy). This cabinet is full of opinionated people who've never accomplished anything except get elected! newspaper.mailplus.co.uk/data/6737/read…

I'm no fan of Kemi Badenoch. But is it really necessary for @BBCBreakfast's Naga Munchetty to sneer while interviewing her?

Dear @BBCNews, What is "controversial", as your 1 o'clock news puts it, about the Royal Navy defending our territorial waters? Signed, The British Public.

What a nasty way to treat a 93-year-old woman, whose entire life has been dedicated to the service of the nation. What more is there to say? thetimes.co.uk/article/queen-…

As France sets out to squeeze Britain out of a £125billion EU defence fund, the people of the UK want to know why Sir @keirstarmer has surrendered the UK’s fishing waters. What was the point, Prime Minister? newspaper.mailplus.co.uk/data/6111/read…

We cannot allow the media to bring down a Prime Minister, just because they disagree with him. That spells the end of democracy.

Interesting: @BBCNews is running nothing but stories about what the EU is doing in respect of Russia ~ with absolutely no reference to the fact that they are days behind the UK in acting. Hardly surprising, though, as the @BBC hates the UK, the Conservative Government & Brexit.

I'm saddened to say that after 10 years as a subscriber to @thetimes, I've just cancelled my subscription (very simple online). Yesterday's attacks on the PM and government over coronavirus (concerted with other MSM outlets) simply compounded their Remainer politicking.

Is anyone else sick and tired of continual posturing by this left-wing activist?

This has all the characteristics of a concerted attack on the legally elected government of the United Kingdom by the EU-supporting forces which lost the referendum, including: ● Labour; ● the civil service; ● the @BBC; and ● the mainstream media.
