- I cried twice in my high school sports career ... after my last football game and after my last basketball game, because I knew I would never put on a uniform again. The feeling of wishing you had one more game never leaves you.
- I’m amazed at how many players don’t ride the bus home after games. When did that become a thing? Bus rides home with your teammates are some of the memories you will have when you look back to your playing days.
- Anyone that complains about a six-game High school football season should just stop. It’s better than the alternative of no games. Ask any player right now how happy they are.
- A lot of people may not get it, but if you ever played high school football, you understand what today’s decision meant.
- Breaking News: After 23 years as Lancaster head football coach, Rob Carpenter has decided to retire. Just finished up with a long interview with him. Story coming shortly.
- I was informed today that I have been nominated by the Ohio Associated Press for Best Sports Writer and Best Sports Columnist. I am beyond grateful and humbled and never take what I get to do for granted. I love what I do.
- Found out yesterday I was awarded First Place as Best Sports Columnists by the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors. Humbled and honored. I love what I do and never take it for granted. I truly enjoy telling people's stories.
- Was informed today I am finalist for Best Sports Columnist in the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors’ Newspaper contest. Truly honored and grateful. I love what I do and never take it for granted.
- BREAKING NEWS: In a letter released this evening, the Fairfield Department of Health has revised their previous statement of no in-person school and no sports, and now recommending all Fairfield County School districts follow guidelines from Ohio Department of Health.
- BREAKING NEWS: In a letter sent today, The Fairfield County Department of Health (FDA) is recommending that all Fairfield County Schools not return to in-person class in the fall of 2020 and school sports, band and other extra-curricular activities not to be played.
- Liberty Union pitcher Jacob Miller has been invited to attend the Major League Baseball Draft on Sunday in Los Angeles, which means they expect him to be a high pick. I will have pre-draft story in Friday’s Eagle-Gazette. @Jmills_9 @LULions @lulionbaseball
