    My friend who is a Chief Diversity officer shared that there have been a growing number of complaints by white faculty and staff that the jobs were being reserved for people of color and that their voices were being silenced. They decided to look at the numbers.

    What we see around the great replacement theory should concern us, because it is leading people to conclude things that are not based on facts and figures and in reality.

    They found that white faculty and staff DISPROPORTIONATELY outnumbered all staff and faculty of color, especially in positions of power. Most jobs were still going to white men (who were often the loudest and often had the highest retention rates). But thatโ€™s not allโ€ฆ

    They found that white Christian made up the largest percentage of employees, but were also the ones who were most vocal about being replaced by people of color. Those who most strongly felt like they were being replaced at the institution were white Christians.

    When they looked more closely at the survey data, they found that those who identified as white conservative Christians were most vocal about their concerns of being replaced - despite the numbers proving that they were the disproportionately dominant group.
