    It was announced this evening by his family that actor Ron Ely passed away at the end of last month at the age of 86. To a generation of TV viewers, he was Tarzan in all 57 episodes made by NBC from 1966 - 1968. Ronald Pierce Ely 1938 – 2024

    RIP Martin Lee. Part of Brotherhood of Man who won the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest for the UK. They were number 1 in many countries and won 3 Novello's. The group's fame led to many TV appearances. Martin passed away on Sunday from heart failure. Martin Barnes (Lee) 1946–2024

    John Craven was born on 16 August 1940.

He is a journalist and television presenter, best known for presenting the BBC programmes Newsround, Countryfile and Beat the Brain.

Craven joined BBC in the late 1960s at Look North and moved to Points West in 1970. John also became part of Multi Coloured Swap Shop and its replacement Saturday Superstore.

    Sandy Gall had died at the age of 97. Sandy joined ITN in 1963 as a foreign reporter and troubleshooter. Gall joined News at Ten in 1970 and presented the weeknightly programme for over 20 years. Sandy Gall 1927-2025 tvark.org/sandy-gall
    Sandy Gall was born on 1 October 1927 and passed away on 29 June 2025 at the age of 97.

He was a journalist, author and Independent Television News (ITN) news presenter whose career as a journalist spanned more than 50 years.

He began his career in journalism as a sub-editor at the Aberdeen Press and Journal in 1952 and became a foreign correspondent for the Reuters international news agency from 1953 to 1963.

Gall joined ITN as a foreign reporter and troubleshooter in 1963, and also worked as a newscaster on News at Ten between 1970 and 1991. He retired from ITN the following year but remained freelance.

He worked occasionally for Channel 5, The History Channel and the BBC. In 2003, Sandy joined LBC as their World Affairs Expert.

With his wife he founded the Sandy Gall's Afghanistan Appeal charity. Their mission was to assist in the training of Afghan officials in the provision of artificial limbs and physiotherapy treatment to children and other Afghan civil war victims.
